The Lankaise - Hand Embroidered Linen Dress - Up-Cycled Collection

Recently we have made a new artisan connection with our hand embroidery partner Shakira. She is not only an awesome embroiderer, but also a very awesome human being. She teaches her craft to other women and does a segment on the Sri Lankan news channel on how to hand embroider at home, she is quite a busy lady but it’s clear this is her passion.

She is so talented she can make anything that pleases our creative whims.

This well made Mod brand dress is an upcycled piece and 100% made in Sri Lanka from linen. 

To give this dress more pizazz, we commissioned Shakira to hand embroider the front in vibrant floral and fauna designs found in Sri Lanka. The yarn used is made of cotton and is colorfast. 

The result is a lovely, and chic new dress with personality. 

Model is a size extra small.
