BoBo Upcycled Denim Jacket - Vintage Coin Banjara, Peruvian & Mexican
A 'Worn Jeans' circa 2004 denim jacket in size XS/S up-cycled to fabulosity with our added touches of sourced vintage tribal patches.
Super comfy and easy to wear denim revamped with fashion scraps and vintage or reused materials to create something new from something discarded, this is zero-waste, a new era in fashion.
The bottom accent around the waist is a rare special find we sourced on our travels through Rajasthan while studying the Banjara people and their textile history. It is an exquisite old piece from the Banjara tribe where the women specialize in lepo embroidery which involves stitching small mirrors into the cloth. This is a recognizable attribute to the Banjara design. The old coins on the bottom are all from India dating to the 1970s adding a retro funky vibe.
On the top, a charming patch of beaded and button work in different colors also from the Banjara, all sourced from the people who made the piece and with consent to add to the jacket.
Lastly, you'll see cute touches of Peruvian fabric scraps accented around the seams to add some vibrant color and flair. Voila, a piece that stands out.
Second model is a size S/M, size 4/6 and bust 36D.
