The Saila - Spiral Embroidered Saree Top - From The Lanka Tropicana Collection

Can you believe how exciting this blue is? The color is so sumptuous.

This top is originally a vintage saree top handmade in Sri Lanka.
What I love about traditional saree tops is that the cut is sexy and flattering. It is a crop but it’s loose on the waist and I love how the breast darts are pointy.

What we did to give this top more personality and make it cohesive with our newest collection was add hand embroidered spirals with beads to give it pizazz. This was done by our hand embroidered artisan Shakira, you can learn more about her on our artisan’s page.

We made this top to match our up-cycled skirt in the same collection, but you can wear this with anything. Pair it over denim jeans, or high waisted slacks, perhaps with a yellow pencil skirt or white shorts? You can style this top a myriad of ways.
