The Carmen Skirt - Upcycled - Paradise In The Village Collection
Our spring capsule collection is set in the soul of Sri Lanka and that is village life.
From daily walks around the village, to cows strolling past you, boys on bikes, stops at the local Kade, tuk tuks off for a hire, aunties smiling at you and inviting you into their homes where they warmly offer you homemade lemonade from the homegrown local citrus in their garden- this is the heart of Sri Lanka; the beauty and essence of everyday life in the village.
Each item in this collection is one of its kind with a special touch of Sri Lankan artistry.
This is an upcycled white cotton skirt refashioned to fabulosity with added Sri Lankan tie dye pink ruffle and adorable hand embroidered white flowers.
We’re obsessed with this one, what a gorgeous transformation from what it was to what it is now. This is sustainable fashion, giving new life to clothing and making it into art. The high cut ruffle is stunning, fabric was made by Shihani, our Sri Lankan tie dye master.
The darling hand embroidered flowers are done by Shakira. Both artisans you can read more about on the artisans’ page.
